Our summer season was to start in September 2021 but this has been delayed as a result of the NSW Public Health Orders.
Based on the current health orders, the Katoomba Committee has decided to conduct two trial days on 20th and 27th November before competition starting on 4th December 2021 as we have previously advised.
The trial days will start at 830am each day and offer a range of track and field events to get ready for the season but will not attract points. Athletes will be able to collect season registration numbers and purchase uniform on the trial and competition days. Attendance on the 20th and 27th November Trial days is open to fully vaccinated people aged 16 years and over, children under the age of 16, or people with a medical contraindication certificate accepted by the Government. You will need to show proof upon entry to Pitt Park and scan our QR code.
Our ability to start the season has the following conditions:
• We can have up to 200 people at Pitt Park including athletes, parents and officials.
• Any attendance before 1 December is restricted to fully vaccinated people aged 16 years and over, children under the age of 16, or people with a medical contraindication certificate accepted by the Government.
• Attendance AFTER 1 December is open to everyone.
Our registration hasn’t been open long but we do have 50 athletes who have registered already, which is great. We need to update our COVID plan, re-mark Pitt Park before its used and we’d like to provide more time for people to register.
Athletes must register for the season through the Little Athletics NSW website (www.lansw.com.au). Athletes wishing to trial must also register in advance through the same website.
We’re excited about these new developments and look forward to seeing you very soon.
Keep an eye on our Facebook page and this website for updates.
See you soon.
