Katoomba Athletics is affiliated with both Little Athletics NSW and Athletics NSW. This allows us to provide a full athletic experience irrespective of you needs or skill.
Little Athletics provides a full participation model for athletes aged 3 to 17 years of age where competition is held at Pitt Park each week and Little Athletics offers Zone, Region and State Championship pathways along with Little Athletics Combined events as an opt in extra activities. The focus is family, fitness and fun across all events. A season entry fee applies. Separate fees may apply for separate Little Athletics NSW Combined events. Details below.
Our Athletics NSW affiliation provides the opportunity for athletes who wish to complete at higher levels of competition beyond Little Athletics or to pursue competition as athletes older than 17 years of age. These athletes can compete at Pitt Park on Saturdays alongside our Little Athletes but also participate in specific events held across Sydney (eg milers meets etc) or NSW (eg NSW Country Championships) during the season. A season registration fee plus event entry fees apply.
Your registration at Katoomba Athletics provides:
- 12 months membership to Little Athletics (Tots to u17s) or Athletics NSW (Dual athletes and seniors)
- A fun and inclusive family environment
- A 23-week summer competition season on Saturday mornings at Pitt Park
- Entry to Little Athletics Zone, Region* & State* Championships for Little Athletes
- Club coaching
- Access to the Little Athletics Zone Combined and Scamper events for Little Athletes. Separate fees apply.
- Access to a full range of state events run by Little Athletics NSW for Little Athletes. Separate fees apply.
- Access to any Little Athletics Club in Australia if you are travelling
- Pathways to all Athletics NSW events eg NSW Country Championships. Separate fees apply.
- End of season awards
- All Council ground hire fees
- Insurance cover through our affiliated bodies Little Athletics NSW or Athletics NSW

Our first competition day for the season will be on Saturday 9 September and we’ll be running through until March 2024 (with a short break over Christmas).
